Roller Blinds

A Range of Stylish Designs

Roller blinds are a practical solution for covering your window, they are simple to operate and discreet when opened and can provide a block of colour, a striking pattern or a neutral backdrop to the rest of the room. Our range of roller blinds are available in a range of stylish designs, bold and exciting patterns and versatile colours which makes them an ideal choice for any room of the home, not just the bathroom or kitchen. We fit standard roller blinds and perfect fit roller blinds for a more sleek finish.

Perfect blinds are the ideal choice for rooms that need a neat and sleek finish. A made-to-measure frame clicks into place between the glazing and beading of uPVC windows without the need for drilling. The blinds fit snugly within the frame becoming an integral part of the window and there’s no need for control cords and the blind stays in place even when the window is open.

Grip Fit Roller Blinds

New to our range are the amazing Grip Fit roller blinds which take only seconds to fit and require no tools! These roller blinds can be fitted without drill holes or screws, making installation quick and easy with no mess.

The blinds will also leave no damage to the window recess or walls and are ideal for homes, offices or rented accommodation where drilling into the walls may not be permitted.

They can also be used for both motorised and chain operated roller blinds with the blinds available in a wide range of colours and styles.

How to measure for roller blinds?

To measure for roller blinds, you first need to decide how the blinds are going to be hung in your window and whether you are going for a recess fitting or an exact fitting. Then you will need a tape measure and pen and paper.

  • For a recess fitting (where the blind is fitted within the window recess, or more simply in the space above the windowsill), you will need to measure wall to wall inside the window opening. You will need to take three measurements top to bottom for the drop and 3 right to left for the width. Make a note of the smallest measurements from each and we will do the rest to get you a perfectly fitted blind.
  • For an exact fitting (where the blind is outside the window recess area), the steps are similar. Measure where you want toe blind to be on the wall, for this we would recommend adding an extra 50mm from the edges of the recess on each side for a great finish. You then take 3 measurements from right to left and from top to bottom, making a note of the smallest from each of these to get the sizes you need.

How to install roller blinds inside the recess?

To install your new roller blinds, all you need is a tape measure, drill, screws, wall plugs and a pencil for marking up. You will need to check which mounting style is best for you although we can supply brackets for any fir. You then simply depress the plunger side of the roll and push the brackets into place. If you are not confident with doing this however then our friendly fitters can come and install your roller blinds for you.

Which roller blind fabric will fit my room?

The beauty of roller blinds is there are a huge array of styles that can really set the tone for any space by simply changing out the fabric. When choosing a fabric you should consider the existing décor of the room (unless that is also being changed) and the purpose of the space. If you want a bright and open conservatory where privacy matters but you don’t want to lose any sporadic sunshine then a bright coloured light filtering fabric can be a great option. However for a bedroom or a living room with a home cinema setup, you may want to consider blackout roller blinds for a great time in the space and to help you get an undisturbed nights sleep. If you want the space to feel open and unencumbered then you can opt for one of our vibrant and bright voiles for unmatched light levels in your room.

Why choose a roller blind?

The simplicity of a roller blind is unmatched and it really gives you plenty of options to expand and explore how you want your space to look and feel with plenty of designs ranging from bright and colourful novelty or children’s designs, to something more refined and modern. You can even have a design that is completely your own with our bespoke printed blinds service so if you have a treasured family memory or a favourite holiday destination, this can be turned into a blind that adds a touch of your unique personality to your living space.

What Material Are Roller Blinds Made Of?

A roller blind can be crafted from a wide range of materials, from elegant sheer voiles to durable blackout PVC, each offering its own unique features. The possibilities are virtually limitless, whether you prefer simple, natural fabrics or bold, vibrant patterns featuring vehicles, animals, insects, plants, and more. We offer a vast selection, and you’re welcome to request a sample of any design that catches your eye. However, please be aware that some PVC roller blinds may contain fiberglass, which could trigger allergies in some people.

Can you get see through roller blinds?

A voile roller would be the perfect solution if you want to control light in your space but maintain some privacy. They are great for open and airy rooms that need natural light, with a semi see-through fabric that is opaque at a distance but more transparent the closer you get. This allows for a sleek and modern alternative to using net curtains.

Which way round do roller blinds go?

The short answer is it is entirely up to you. The fabric can fall either side so you can get the fit you need with the fabric falling exactly where you want. If you want to keep the room as dark as possible then a regular roll (backwards with the fabric by the glass) will give less room down the sides for light to enter.

Conversely a reverse roll (where the fabric is forward and hides the roller) gives a clean, minimalist look whilst allowing for extra space in the recess for intrusions such as window handles. If you would like the blinds reversed, speak to our team and we will be able to assist you.

How to fix roller blinds that won’t turn?

This can be caused by a few factors, but the most common is the brackets have been installed too tight, or the blind is a touch too large which can make them harder to turn. If you can move the brackets out slightly then this could be an easy fix, or you can speak to our friendly team who will be happy to assist you.
